Jordan and Dane styling their library

Renovating a church in Melbourne

Two husbands. One old church. Absolutely no beige.

Hello, we’re the Home Husbands

Jordan styles it. Dane works out how to build it.

Old homes, bold ideas and a healthy disregard for playing it safe.

What started as two novice renovators taking on a tired old house has become our full-time obsession.

We document the beautiful bits, the questionable decisions and everything that goes wrong in between. This is renovation without the polished television crew: just us, our pets, a lot of colour and occasionally the right tool.

The current chapter

We bought a church. Lord help us.

After restoring Palm View Manor in Perth, we packed up our lives and moved to Melbourne for our wildest project yet: a former Salvation Army drill hall, later a daycare, now a very unusual home.

We’re bringing back the drama, character and sense of occasion one room at a time—and sharing every stage as we go.
